The Smith-Mundt act "prohibited the U.S. Department of State and the Broadcasting Board of Governors (now the U.S. Agency for Global Media) from distributing government-produced information and programming within the United States." That is different from what she is asking. S-M was a prohibition on the government. They couldn't propagandize Americans. That's different than asking the Federal government to be the judge, jury, and executioner, of "what is a lie" over private news companies and private content creators. That's EXACTLY what the left wants. That's what they did, without legal authorization, during the Biden years. We should not legalize this power in the hands of government. We should go back to the original S-M act. The feds and anyone who receives money from them should be forbidden from spreading lies and propaganda to Americans. Calling it the Charlie Kirk act is appropriate.

The good guys are using this act to deprogram and wake up the people. Don't get rid of it yet.
