I believe in NO CARE, you figure it out. US, the Employer feel you the Employee should be void of the acceptance of donations, lobby money and influence. And don't get too comfortable because this is a one time deal.

How about no healthcare, figure it out on your own. Now, lets get to two year terms, no renewal and no acceptance of lobby money, or for that matter , no campaign donations. We will provide the means to campaign, yes us, the employers will define terms of our employees. Thanks for your consideration.
I don't think they care. However, I do think they need to be shown and experience the pain of having to make a decision of choosing between what goes on the dinner table, or paying for housing, or paying for medicine.
You may be right, but if they are treated like the rest of us for health care we might see them caring a lot more. We can only guess until they are put on the same system.
The government still contributes to their insurance premiums, I am not sure if they pay more than the normal employer, but I will guess they, the federal government, pays a lot more.
I have said this before. They love Obamacare so much, then remove their Cadillac health plans and force them to use it. Maybe they will think twice before forcing it upon so many Americans. Also do away with them voting their own pay raise. They can’t come up with a balanced budget and continually have continuing resolutions, stall nominations, etc. and go back home without completion of their job, they don’t deserve a salary raise. Compel their presence on the floor for votes, or dock their pay. They should have a set number of sick/personal days and when they are used up, then they don’t get paid, just like us. Also give them a set number of vacation days. Compel them to work 9 am-5 pm, just like a real job. See how many want the job with term limits, Obamacare, regular working hours, doing away with lobbyists, no acceptance of campaign money outside of their state constituents.

Anything, even the military medical plan would be something they are not exposed to and would see how our military is treated. I can agree.

I thought I had read somewhere, that any mandates they impose on us, they also have to follow. They cannot have different health care for example.

All great ideas, but like you said they kind of control their own fate-for now.
