Young men and women became "teenagers", much later we had GenX, Millenials, GenZ, GenAlpha, so people can be easily slotted, and categorized into their competing cohort. All by design of course, nothing like a little division, especially in families. Different fake attributes were assigned to each, products, especially clothing were also "assigned", and so on. Division is always one of 'their" tactics, no matter how trivial.

Yes this is absolutly true. Same reason they keep changing the things that are taught in school. So children think their parents are uninformed
