The fact they have kept them alive is a testament to them wanting Israel to stop the Genocide of their People and obliteration of their Nation's buildings and infrastructures.
Is that what keeping hostages is for? So you can force others to do something in exchange for not killing the hostages?

I don't know what the motivation But I do know a Genocide and Ethnic cleansing when I see one and Hamas is NOT the guilty side. There is no debate. You can make snarky comments all you want. The debate is over and Humanity has decided..
Hamas is an evil Islamic terrorist organization. They have been killing Israelis since forever. That doesnβt mean the Israeli government is good either.
