I don't know what the motivation But I do know a Genocide and Ethnic cleansing when I see one and Hamas is NOT the guilty side. There is no debate. You can make snarky comments all you want. The debate is over and Humanity has decided..
Hamas is an evil Islamic terrorist organization. They have been killing Israelis since forever. That doesnโt mean the Israeli government is good either.

I have two eyes and know what I see, and it is genocide and ethnic cleansing.
However, the debate isn't over, because BOTH sides have been fighting with each other for decades, and Hamas attacked Israel. It's a long-term war, so there is a debate about justifications for certain actions in a war.
So far as humanity is concerned, I'm not expecting much. Neither side shows a lot of that these days.
Palestinians do not have that land it all belongs to Israel.
Obama used to claim the 'debate is over'... when it ISN'T over.

So you defend Hamas who killed hundreds of young Israelies in an attack, then forced their way into every home killing parents and burning babies alive in their kids.
I watched Hamas parade around a women and her 2 kids dead bodies one was only 4 and one was under a year.
Hamas is also a terrorist organization who were stealing all the food being sent by other countries and using it to leverage the rest of gazans to do what they are told.
So what humanity has decided tons of people know what Hamas is and as for other countries you cant honestly listen to corrupt countries that want the war and death to continue.
