I'm not saying anything justifies genocide, but Israel is truly fighting a people willing to die to kill a Jew, there can be no peace between their ideologies or Christians for that matter.

Christians take the scripture about Abraham's seed and blessing those that bless Abraham's seed and cursing those that curse Abraham's seed too literally, thinking it is refers to a nation. Paul, in Galatians 3:16, explains quite clearly that Abraham's seed is not Israel it is referring to the fulfillment of Abraham's line in Christ Jesus. Therefore, the blessing and curses are referring to Christ's followers and not a nation or one small genetically diluted sect of Semites.
If that were not true than all Semites world-wide have the blessing, this would include all Arabs, Persians, Islamists, Jews, etc. because Abraham was the father to many nations which encompasses the entire middle east. So, the blessing vs curse is referring to the promised prophetic seed of Abraham, culminating in the Messiah and then extends to followers of the Messianic blessing, not to any singular nation.

FYI: Abraham was not renamed Israel - it was Jacob. The Abrahamic blessing was passed down to Isaac and then to Jacob. Therefore the sons of Jacob are the inheritors of the blessing.

Also, Jacob gave the Abrahamic blessing to Joseph and not to Judah, so, Jews (whose namesake came from Judah, then Judaea, which became Jews, slang term based on geography at that point) never received the Abrahamic blessing at all.
Interestingly, Joseph, the Non-sperm doner Father of Jesus, came from the line of Judah but Jesus' mother Mary came from the line of Joseph who had the Abrahamic blessing. Fulfilling both the prophetic line and the line that received the blessing.
The Abrahamic blessing that was passed down to Isaac and then Jacob was collectively given to Jacob's twelve sons - that is why collectively they are known as Israel. Joseph however was given the firstborn blessing of the double portion from Jacob on his deathbed. Joseph was the first born of the only wife Jacob ever intended to have, his beloved Rachel - but the Almighty had other plans. Judah, fourth born, was given the scepter of kingship which was a firstborn right. He stepped up before Joseph, the viceroy of Egypt, to save his brother Benjamin, the second born of Rachel. A far cry from what happened years earlier when the brothers abandoned Joseph. Reuben, lost the right of firstborn when he defiled their father's bed by sleeping with one of Jacob's wives/concubines. Simon and Levi were also passed over because of the slaughter of the men of Shechem when Jacob and the family had to flee. Therefore, the firstborn right to rule passed to Judah. Levi however, later was given the priesthood at Mt Sinai after the incident involving the Golden Calf. Before Sinai, all firstborn sons had the right of family leadership along with family priestly functions. The firstborn blessing is different than the Abrahamic blessing.
The name of "Jews" came from the moniker of "Yehud" from Babylon who conquered Judah and took them into captivity. By the time of the Babylonian conquest there were members of the Northern Kingdom tribes that had fled to Judea during the Assyrian assault on the Northern Kingdom. So there were representatives of the other tribes in Judah. With the Assyrian conquest, the tribal land affiliations that existed prior to, and shortly after, the splitting of the Davidic Kingdom, went by the wayside and ceased to be prominent by the time of the Babylonian conquest. By that time they were all collectively known as Judah despite their original tribal affiliations.
As far as Mary, she was from the House of David on her father's side. Her mother however, was from the priestly line of Levi. Jesus' cousin, John the Baptist, was a priest. Mary's cousin Elizabeth was also of the priestly line as well as her husband Zechariah. Priests were supposed to marry virgins of the priestly line. There is no mention of a Joseph linkage in the historical record for Mary's family - at least none that I have found in Apostolic writings and history.
