The DS was/may still fake a worldwide alien invasion using voice to skull technology while at the same time using weather weapons to cause insane Earth quakes, floods, etc all to sell people on one world government. You don't think, with all that technology, that it's possible either side could fake a simple assassination?

You mix that will all the other interesting tid-bits surrounding this like his wife's X 46:1 post, Kash's Valhalla comment, how the "crime" scene was handled, etc and it starts to look less and less straight forward.
