From attending church, I had heard the Old Testament, I mean, verses, but when I read the Old Testament from beginning to end, God is NOT a nice old guy sitting in the clouds.
When you get down to it, the Old Testament is mankind's soap opera. Oh, the messes everyone got themselves into because they didn't listen to the Word of God. We're lucky that God didn't wipe us out before we made it to the New Testament.

Good point, but have you ever wondered why God hasn't taken out Satan? I have. In fact, God and Satan make a little bet over Job. Weird no?
