First thought is "Oh, that is NOT a deviation in protocol. Protocol was followed exactly." Who is in charge is not who you expected. Did you notice the conversation with the Guardsman in charge? And the fact that he saluted Trump in front of Charles.

All Saudi generals saluted Trump directly a few months back. He appears to be C-I-C of US Republic (emphasized 14JUN25), Saudi, UAE, Qatar, and UK (witnessed so far). Points to "Supreme Allied Commander" of a Sovereign Alliance, imo.
