Revelation 13: 11 - 15. He (the false prophet) is described as the second beast, where as the beast coming out of the Sea (13: 1 - 11) is referred to as the first beast. Reading the whole chapter of Revelation 13 helps clarify this.

Some think the beast coming out of the Land is an indicator of the Anti-Christ being Jewish or Hebrew, while they see the False prophet as coming out of the 'sea of nations'.
