Just my shower thoughts. Why is the war on language only the English language?
Also, if the meaning of a word is changed and that word appears in a written law the law is changed without rewriting it.

Your premise limits the war on English. What is the basis for that assertion?
If you think in terms of English since Francis Bacon, indeed, postulating that the English (sic) language has been bastardized is quite right.
But it began way before that. Latin Monks have bastardized all local languages and books they got under their thumb.
Let me give you an example: There is a town in a Frysian region of Hunsingo currently written as rasquert. So, what, do you say. Well, compare all the names surrounding the place in Frysia, East Frysia, North Frysia. It will astound you to know that two thins are visible: Everywhere there is an major abbey, the name of the place has been fucked up. Many town have the suffix: wert, werd.ward. Another consideration is, that Frysian does not have a Q. Latin does. However a double V V, which in actuality is a double U, when you substitute the latin for the Frysian, will give you raskwerd/ raskward.
So, what happens to languages like Frysian: Due to the fact that The Netherlands becae a unitary state, it has received tremendous influence from what locals call: Harlems, and foreigners usually: Dutch. However, that language has been changing over time. Especially since the 80-ies of the last century.
With the influx of foreigners with mass-immigration, the local languages are disappearing, and thus the connection to what words actually mean. No, these are not found in dictionaries, but can only be assessed when you break these words down.
Bastardization happens everywhere in the West. First they teach you a language that is not Englsh, [try writing a major sentence without using a Latin word] and then go to war over that bastardized language? Interesting narrative.
The Germanic languages are totally opposite of what Latin is, despite having the same basic roots. Reveal vs conceal, truth vs fraud. It is that simple. The moment the people let go of these Roman concepts, and return to honor, and only use language to speak/ write truth, the bad fruits will manifest.
