Someone did the math on that (I'll find the video) - based on the distance, if that was the muzzle flash the round would have been slower than any known (very sub-sonic). Also, the original video does not have a flash - I'm guessing that flash is an artifact of video compression because the video has been passed around, recompressed, "enhanced", etc.
