The whole Kimmel thing was somewhat if a blessing in disguise for ABC. The show's ratings had been tanking for awhile. It gave ABC coverage to dump a show that was losing them money and attempt to look morale at the same time. Not saying the latter half worked, but from a business perspective it worked out well for them.
David Letterman had more natural comedic talent than Jay Leno.
But Leno proved the far superior human being. So Leno wins.
Letterman slept with the help. Leno stayed loyal to his wife.
To think Johnny Carson wanted Letterman to take over for him. I hate to say that legend was wrong, but he backed the wrong horse. NBC was right to overrule him.
