AB144 was rammed through last week, where they skipped some of the normal steps between bill introduction and it becoming a law. Newsom signed it into law yesterday.

The only (slightly) bright spot was that they had mandated the Gardasil HPV vaccine for all 8th graders, but they succumbed to pressure and took that clause out. The HPV vaccine is still "strongly recommended."
I believe that is true. They are trying to coerce as many people as they can as fast as they can before it's all shut down.
