Just the latest example of why Trump is moving America away from over-reliance on centralized solar. Giant solar installations are bad for the environment, bad for rate-payers, and when subsidized in the first place, bad for the taxpayers.
They would be if they cost less, worked better, were reliable, weren't so damaging to the environment (including wildlife), weren't intermittent in their output, didn't use large amounts of land, and a few other things.
For homes and individual businesses, solar can make sense. As a government project for helping to power the grid, not so much.
