World Heritage Sites are landmarks and areas with legal protection under an international treaty administered by UNESCO for having cultural, historical, or scientific significance. These sites are recognized for containing "cultural and natural heritage around the world considered to be of outstanding value to humanity". The designation is based on the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, adopted by UNESCO in 1972 and effective from 1975. Oh, I am not rejecting the the Michael's sword line. The unesco involvement makes me wonder why since they work for the enemy. Perhaps they didn't know.
