Makes no sense. Why would you need 800 + generals all in one place together to announce that? That info could have easily be sent by secure comms. It wouldn't require a physical presence.
One thing that would make sense is that, of the 800+ generals, at least 1/2 were probably appointed or promoted by Obama or George W Bush. Many likely have strong Deep State ties and loyalties. Just like having rogue judges in place (which the Deep State was counting on)... the Deep State would have installed their own controlled Generals. It would be their last fall-back.
There could be a good number, even up to 10%-20% that could have been paid off, threatened, blackmailed, etc... and will go rogue if the SHTF. The WH probably know who most, but not all, of them are. By gathering in one spot, a controlled housecleaning can take place.
Can you imagine that, out of the 800+, about 100 or more will be segregated out, temporarily removed from command and placed in temporary protective custody?
THAT is why I believe they are all being called together. The enlisted will follow orders from their commanders. If any potential rogue commanders have already been removed, the Deep State game is over.
