Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

I heard a Saudi Arabian corp just bought Electronic Arts Inc.... Yes, THE Electronic Arts corp that is imfamous for buying out studios that they later dissolve and recently published the new woke DEI infested Dragon Age: The veilguard
People are ass mad about it, but I couldn't be happier for it, because they kinda deserve it after years of slowly damaging their reputation with gamers by killing promising dev studios after buying them out!
My Hypothesis for this is they will sell off a noteable chunk of of EA's licenses and franchises to other major publishers like SEGA, Bandai Namco, or Tencent; Going all in on releasing major annual Sports titles. Why? Because Sports videogames are BIG in Europe and the Middle East, and the Saudis are desperately looking for another reliable income source besides oil, since the European globalists are trying to phase it out, and US Energy independence is back on the table with Trump in office again. EA inc is well known for being the king of publishing sports videogames, and the Saudis are more than willing to take the risk of debt with buying them out if it means they can turn a profit...
So EA is now completely immune to DEI because the woke left fear Islamic country. Unfortunately this means they also own The Sims now, so expect those games to get sanitized; But they might just license The Sims out to other studios because the Saudis bought EA solely for the Sports game titles
i think it will be a good thing. SIms4 is so woke and garbage.. maybe they'll come out with sim5 which is a much improved sim3 but with all the freedom players get in sims3. We can pretend sim4 never existed.
And I agree.. the Saudis only care about the Sports game. I pray they leave Sims3 alone.
