When the insurrection act is used, it is generally used within the confines of certain problem areas where the unrest is actually occurring.
If you're living on a farmstead in rural Nebraska, you're probably not going to be under martial law.
If you're living in Portland, you might be.
You might see certain federal forces authorized to do certain more limited operations like tracking down individual criminals who tried to escape to their bug-out cabin in the mountains somewhere, but I think that will be very targeted and more limited in nature in areas like those. This will probably be done by federalized national guard working with the FBI and DHS.
If we enter the realm of half of congress getting arrested and not even having a functional legislature for a period of time, who knows where that goes or what it looks like.
Pinochet styled military dictatorship would be my preferred option.
Arrest and convict the traitors inside America, rip out all Marxist ideology from our society, restore order and the Constitutional Republic, save America.
If half of Congress is arrested could State Governors temporarily seat congress critters until snap elections are held or would President Trump just suspend Congress due to a quorum not being met?
I mean, it makes sense that the national guard and federal agents through ice and bortac are already deployed in various aggressively liberal cities. If any place is going to riot, or have sleeper cells of terrorist activate, it would have been those cities. But thankfully MS13, TdA, and Antifa are being quelled and arrested.
