She gets that it was more than this. Indoctrination is just a method for grooming people to be vulnerable to certain spiritual influences, influences that are aligned with the purpose of the (person/entity/group) doing the indoctrination.

She recognizes that it wasn't just that she was indoctrinated. Something happened to her that she cannot explain. imo, this is spiritual phenomena. (See my comment above)
