Hakeem Jeffries just admitted it — Democrats are banking on an uprising instead of negotiating with Republicans to end the shutdown.

🧠 These people are STUPID!
I guess he doesn't specify illegals: https://www.tampafp.com/louisiana-sen-kennedy-shreds-dems-shutdown-demands-cooking-and-dance-workshops-in-haiti/
Schumer's home state....maybe the state is paying for it from their non-federally subsidized money? https://info.nystateofhealth.ny.gov/new-health-insurance-option-undocumented-immigrants-age-65-and-over-fact-sheet
Now, this is being used as evidence to support Democrats trying to repeal some of the Big Beautiful Bill that prohibits illegals from getting health insurance. But this is just snippets. I didn't look up originals. https://nitter.net/Dragonboy155/status/1973383960869601427#m
The Democrats are also trying to extend the COVID era health insurance subsidies. And if those do expire, they will hurt American citizens. Republicans are trying to keep the lights on and then discuss the expiring insurance. The insurance marketplace needs facts to send out their open enrollment paperwork, which I think I read October 15th is the deadline. Then they'll send out what they have, and if Congress makes changes, they'll have to send out new paperwork which will confuse everyone. 🤷♀️
Our whole dysfunction government is a cluster f---.
I STRONGLY suggest you go look at the exact things mentioned in that tweet, what the person is presenting is not accurate at all.
And, let me ask you this. If DOGE saved us a Trillion dollars, why is this bucket of money, the one all voters use so important to get rid of?
Why do the GOP want us paying more for health care?
This isn't about trying to keep the lights on at all, health care is a drop in the bucket compared to the other things passing right now. Trump sent more money to Argentina than it would cost to fund all health care for all US citizens for 10 years. And then Argentina undercut all US soybean farmers, myself included, and China bought up all their soybeans. Now, I have 25 acres of soybeans with no buyers, my health insurance is about to go up by 40% and honestly, I'm just so tired of all this winning.
