I watched this movie where one of the actors was that Robert Patrick guy who played the terminator 2 but in this movie called Pavement and filmed in South Africa.

I was a bit thrown off because I didn't expect where they filmed, the lush greenery, buildings, beautiful homes etc.

I thought it would be a Sahara desert of desolation.
