Indeed! He is also going against doctrine that the Pope can only speak about revealed faith and doctrine, and then only in union with the bishops. Catholics know, this is only one guy, Bishop of Rome, and his actual authority is quite limited.

He is using his BULLY Pulpit to INTIMIDATE Catholics who are ALLOWED to disagree with his personal opinions, unless they are not his opinions but are firmly grounded in revealed truth. WHICH this is NOT. He is trying to intimidate American Catholics to accept their own genocide, AmIRite?
