Either they were taken with good reason, in which case, they shouldn't be returned, or they were taken for bad reasons, in which case, why the hell are we rooting for Russia?

They were taken by the Russians probably out of brothels and trafficking hubs. Russia is returning them to THEIR real families. At least that is the way I interpret it.

Most trafficked children in the world are sold into trafficking by those very same families. Simply reuniting them is not always the correct solution. Also, if Russia could have done this the whole time, why wait till now? This war has been dragging on for over three years at this point.

I don't now. It was just my opinion since Ukraine is the capitol for human trafficking and organ harvesting. They could have come out of an orphanage as far as I know.
