The Children's Bill of Rights
Every Child had the right to be just that, a Child.
Every Child has the right to not be influenced by adult themes that are forced upon them by others with an agenda of their own.
Every Child has the right to grow and mature as nature intended and to not have their Childhood taken from them prematurely.
Childhood is a very brief time in life, God willing there will be plenty of time later for grown up ideas, obligations and activities.
All those involved in publishing that should be investigated for child porn.

I think it really comes down to what they propose children should do or be able to do contrary to "sexual innocence"... I can't really think of anything sensible.
Children (9 and under roughly) are not able to reproduce nor have they developed an interest in reproduction, so they should be out of the discussion or consideration for reproductive acts.
I think adolescents (10+) are a different discussion as they develop the ability to reproduce and interest in reproduction. This leads to some adolescents acting out with other adolescents, and for example some adolescents historically getting married.
The point was for me at age 10+ I definitely developed a strong attraction to the opposite gender. This author isn't even trying to conflate adolescence and childhood together in order to argue for children to act contrary to "sexual innocence like some adolescents do", which I thought I've seen other leftists argue.

So I think some increased effort either towards adolescents marrying or being helped to remain pure could be helpful (at least based on my own experience of it being difficult to wait with confusing cultural attitudes). This group is also I think at risk of predation of sorts if we aren't careful, given our culture's attitudes towards lust and with increasing voices on the left calling for children and adolescents to embrace "erotic potential".
Yea waiting for marriage is far and away the winning and best strategy, nothing else even contends...

No downvote from me. The verse originally related to causing any of the disciples to sin, however, it is applicable, in that those who are abused in this way go on to abuse others often enough to make the case.
