The person IDENTIFIED as JFK Jr IS dead...but, is the person FORMERLY KNOWN AS JFK Jr alive? Even a faked death is a "death" because that identity could no longer be used. So, Q's answer to the question AS PHRASED is correct and IMO neither mis/dis information. Does that make sense?
