My last shot was tetanus too, about 2015 as well. I was 'hesitant'. The doc went on and on about 'safe and effective'. Lockjaw, blah blah. I caved. Got the shot, got ready to leave...
Doc: "You can't leave yet, you need to wait here for 15-20 minutes."
Me: "Oh? Why?"
Doc: "In case you go into anaphylactic shock."
Me: "What!? 30 seconds ago it was safe and effective!."
Doc: "Yeah, well, it's rare."
They also never mentioned it would not be effective for my present injury, even according to their own info!
So instead of 'safe and effective' it was 'risky and useless'.
