The security at entry and exit points has been scaled up to the point of being ridiculous and redundant. There can be several points where they stop someone for checks. Anytime security can demand to look at your personal devices. If they see anything that looks suspicious, like a single social media post, it could get you in trouble. That especially goes for US citizens right now. Even worse for Chinese. They see dual holders as a threat to national security - and that could be anything that they define as such.
