My wife was on statins for 25 years. I took her off of them after I got problems with myself and statins. Wish I would have known sooner. She developed Parkinson’s and dementia about 3 years ago. And yes while there is no studies that show definitively statins cause Alzheimer’s and dementia, there is a correlation between statin use and dementia PDD, Alzheimer’s, and other types of dementia.
I totally believe there is a connection between statins and dementia. When I was working (I'm a nurse), in long term care facilities, every single person with dementia also had a history of statin use. Most were still on statins in the nursing homes. It may not be just the statins though, most were on at least ten other medications, and had been for several years, but each one was on statins.

t the book: The End of Alzheimer’s, by Dale Bredesen. Simple stuff and he REVERSED Alzheimer's. Good luck.
