1980 Jimmy Carter. And US educational status has only DECREASED to third world levels, and lower than some of those.
Who controlled or bribed him to create a federal dept of education?? It must have been intended to sabotage the education of US young people, which has been the result. Despite BILLIONS of $ taken from we taxpayers!! For complete and utter destruction of traditional education.
The teachers and the new Dept. of education was the bribe. They propelled him into office.
