Never done this before... Hope these links work. I'm kinda sick to my stomach seeing this. This is an Always brand too. Not sure what is going on... Some of it looks like cotton other looks like the liner part that would me. I'll wait for husband to wake to check.

Looking at that & the pics from the video, I wonder if the dark spots are just compacted cotton (ie 10 layers/strands vs 2-3 would cause more shadowing).
Yeah... My husband said that was it and I'm freaking out over nothing but I do remember seeing a video on how those covid masks were made. Like dirty place with them on the floor sewing a long line of masks. Probably still best I look into alternate options.
