This thought popped into my head about a day or two ago and just can't get it out of my head. Trump is demolishing and renovating the East Wing to be a ballroom.
Per a chat GPT summary of wikipedia (take that for what you will) The East Wing of the White House historically functions as the offices for the First Lady and her staff, the Visitor Entrance for public tours of the White House, and the Social Office (which handles invitations, events, etc.).
So for 8 years, Michelle Obama would have primarily used the East Wing, and for 4 years between Trump's presidencies, Jill Biden as well.
What if the renovation is just the excuse to get rid of it and potentially 'cleanse' it from whatever misdeeds these people would have done?
I know the East Wing has been renovated many times over the decades,... but like I said, this was just a random thought that has stuck with me.
