in my faith, you bypass the human and can go directly to God through his Son without any rite of human rituals. that is crazy that you cannot go directly to God or even talk to Jesus without a permission slip from man.

All done with religion, dogma and rituals. No graven images, trinkets or "relics"...
Some of us no longer have the luxury of all the ritualistic nonsense that never gets to the point...
If Christ said, "The kingdom of God is within you."; and "meet me in the upper rooms of the temple built without human hands" [sic] - Then all that religion nonsense is a waste of time as it won't bring you to TRUE COMMUNION with the Christ.
Some believe they need it. I believe they're just wasting time. But they're free to do what they want...as am I.

Some attend just for the social aspect. Some out of guilt because they're convinced they should... These are not good reasons. Communion with God is a very private and personal thing.
While you enjoy your beef and beer in the church basement. I'm going into to God's house for a while...in the temple built without human hands... just like the Christ instructed us to do.
