I don't really care about what the situation was for the driver. If something doesn't feel right, it's probably not. That should always be rule number one. The fact that the driver was unwilling to save the fair and explain the situation, is a huge tell. She did the right thing.

Blind trust is never good. Shit happens. The key is to not let it happen to you and those you care about. We are imperfect people living in an imperfect world. Until that is rectified, we must take care not to become another statistic.
