I am from that wheelhouse. The indoctrination in favor of vaxxinations is widespread and tenacious. Breaking through that mindset is not easy - and I was a colleague. I fought against it my entire career and sadly only a couple even bothered to consider what I had to say much less look at data. To be honest, nurses were some of the worst when it came to entrenched thinking and ego.

Professionals in health care have too much invested in their positions and reputations to even entertain the idea that they may have been wrong because that forces a person to make a choice - a choice they don't want to make - a choice that could cost them everything they have worked for. So they often avoid even the possibility and are content to move on with business as usual. Nothing to see here folks. Very few are brave enough to actually break free from the narrative and take a different course.

So, if you have not been able to convince her of anything after all these years, than as far as you are concerned, it may be a lost cause. Make sure you salvage the relationship. Pray that God will send someone else that she may listen to. People often don't want to take advice from close family members - especially people in medicine. Sometimes it has to come from a stranger or someone less attached. It make it safer for them. Just be there for her. She knows where you are if she is curious. But it does no good to keep after someone that is not willing to listen. The walls come up and it is pointless to continue. A person has to be receptive to listening.
