Yeah, that's something i have never understood....Why can't they be arrested while they are in session, even when they are 100% lying...Could you please explain that to me?

In Article I, Section 6, Clause 1, the Framers provided for Members of Congress to be free from arrest when attending or traveling to and from Congress except in cases of treason, felony, or breaches of the peace.
Fun Fact: Congressmen & Senators can't be arrested while they are in session. Now would be the perfect time to arrest them if Trump wanted to.
