I always thought that Canada should lease a corridor for a Highway from Continental USA to Alaska. In exchange, the USA would lease a large patch of Land down South so Canadians could live there during the Winter. They could bring their Healthcare down there and businesses. It would be a beneficial and viable exchange between Nations.

As long as Canada is part of the Commonwealth, that will never happen. If we get unfettered access by rail and road through Canada and get Alaska connected to Russia by rail, it destroys the worldwide shipping cartel controlled from London and Geneva.
