That's going to require some investment into training and education and there aren't enough rich people with kids to meet that demand. So your options are either import H1B visa holders or invest in American students so that you can have domestic manufacturing. Is the $290 a month I get so that I Don't have to go to class hungry really that much of a problem to you?), I get about $500 a month before taxes. My rent is $750, I paid 25% in income taxes on what I get for my job so it ends up being more like $370 a month. My car payment for my 2020 Toyota Corolla is $270 a month. Internet plus electricity totals $100. Gas to and from school is about 200 bucks a month give or take. Then there's the mandatory car insurance of course which costs just as much as my car payment because the insurance companies for some reason over the past 15 years have been allowed to jack up their premiums from like $70 a month for my car to 250. So let's do some math here. I have a monthly budget of 1,620 to work with. When we do some math, 270 + 250 + 750 + 200 = 1570. That's not including the cost of food. I have $50 left over at the end of the month not including food to cover the cost of anything that might happen. It's not enough.

My family has been in this country since The early 1700s when my first ancestor was conscripted into the British Royal Navy and then jumped ship in Boston when he was on his way to college. But I'm working my ass off trying to make it work and living frugally and doing literally everything that I can to survive while I get through these next three years of mechanical engineering school.
