This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

In the United States we fear saying anything remotely even perceived as violent even in regards to an actual socialist because of our supposed justice system
In Japan when an actual socialist almost came into power, a patriot simply did what had to be done. And the socialist party never came close to being a legitimate party.
The socialist party then was similar to our Democrat party in that it was filled with in fighting between the more centrist side of it and the radicalized side of it. All it took was the one incident to send it into absolute decline.
I'm not saying what happened October 12, 1960 should be necessary. Ideally we would have a populace who isn't apathetic. I find it hard to believe that there are such few "hard nosed New Yorkers" that an Islamist socialist of all people won a legitimate election. I've never expected New York City to be deep red. I can admit that our party has issues that don't fit the idea of what New York City is supposed to be, yet I never expected it to go from blue to whatever atrocious color Zohran represents.
I visited New York City once in 2012 for the first time. I know a lot of you prefer the sticks..but for me it was transcendent. I had never felt that alive. I came from a big city and New York City made that city feel like a small town forever. I visited the Statue of Liberty and the 9/11 memorial but nothing impacted me more than just walking those streets.
So pray for New York City frogs. Pray like you've never prayed before. I know Trump must be furious. That's his city. I trust he'll do what's necessary but frogs are what gets the magic flowing.
I was looking up on this and found the pictures with the party name on the walls:

This seems to be the full form of today's LDP: 自民党 (Jimintou)
Are these both referring to the same party? Or did the old one evolve into the new one?
