Gold must be refined in the fire. The sad thing is that when things are going good, we have a tendency to become complacent and lazy. Many Westerners fit that mold. We actually do best and shine under adversity. It makes us grow spiritually - exactly what God desires. In the end it is all about us and our relationship with Him. When it is all said and done, that is what remains.
