Rant: Handshake is a rude designation IMO. It implies that someone new here needs reminding, is looked down upon, or to make somebody feelintimidated. It was so much friendlier to say hi, newbie.
yeah, nah. Its simply a statement of the reality that the account in question has no actual track record that can be used to get a handle of the quality of the participant.
if someone raises the 'hi handshake' thing, it's almost always because they are finding something suspect or objectionable in the content the handshake presents.
In all other cases, most participants here are more than welcoming of newcomers. Very much so.
