That may not be the point. Democrats and Deep State planned to use lawmakers to divide the military and raise questions about commands. This might be a move to monkey-stomp that plan into the dirt before it ever gets started. Everyone who even thought about participating now knows they will be hauled before a tribunals and may face life in military prison. Movement squelched.
