Navy's 'Doomsday plane' vanishes over the Atlantic during mission

Flight-tracking data showed the Navy's 'Doomsday Plane' taking off near Washington, DC on Friday morning and soaring over the Atlantic before disappearing.

The so called Dooms Day plane besides the E6 Mercury also includes the E4B Night Watch both Command and Control centers for the entire US arsenal in case of attack. The E6 is based on an older Boeing 707-300 airframe and the E4B is on a larger 747-200B series. Several of the E4B's have been electronically "hardened" for EMP.
