If it was that bad, you would have seen a huge migration of blacks go back to Africa after Emancipation. Funny how that did not happen, and we still are getting flooded with African refugees. Was selling human beings like cattle wrong? Yes, it was, I think. On the other hand, black individuals who have succeeded in this country could not have done that without it.
