And required financial planning. A goal without a timeline is a dream... they need to have a goal of getting off SNAP and a path to do it. If they are not following the path, and it's not a legitimate reason, they lose their benefits.
Yes, the same box every month with the same food or switching out fruits and vegetables per season. If you want any other beyond that, you have to pay for it yourself.
I would hope they don't grief actual retired/disabled elderly people. My roommate is 66 and suffered a TBI years ago that disabled him, I would hope someone legitimately on SNAP would be marked and left alone.
I've often thought that anyone on welfare should be doing something for the taxpayers, like picking up trash, or whatever they're physically capable of. Any kind of community service would be a start.
And I love the re-registration idea - they should have to register every 6 months.
I 100% agree with this! Even going out and picking up the trash along the highway or roads, weed whacking sidewalks, shoveling snow, mowing lawns... anything to get people moving and motivated. Once they are on their couch with Netflix, collecting benefits, they have zero motivation to get off benefits.
I’m wondering why the kid age limit is up to 14. I know plenty of 12-14 yr olds who stayed home alone while parents worked. Also need to limit how many kids said person can have while on benefits
Yes, there needs to be a rule, any children you have while on benefits such as snap, do not increase with each child. What you get, is what you got when you first applied no matter the increase in dependents.
Good, they need to add passing a drug test every month as well

I like that.
Basic food staples ONLY is what SNAP should be!

from what i understand everyone needs to reapply...if truly in need no problem but all the freeloaders...get a job
What I understand from the video is 18-64.
If they can provide the necessary documentation that they are truly disabled and can't work, then the work requirements don't apply.
As per the video:

I think because by the time your kid is 14, they are OK with being left home alone so you can go get a job.
