As a member of gen X, I’ve been reading a lot lately about staying strong as I age, planning on living to be 100. One of the main takeaways that I read was that the majority of older people aren’t eating enough protein. So, I’m going to continue to eat my steaks and hamburgers as well as including other sources of protein.
Big caveat: eat your steaks and burgers outside in full spectrum sunlight. High LDL cholesterol - which is supposedly related to cardiac health risks - is an issue for people who predominantly live indoors. LDL cholesterol is supposed to be converted to sulfated Vitamin D - only if UV light is present. No UV = LDL buildup.

I’m raising the beef, I get plenty of full spectrum sunlight; my HDL number is magnificent.
