I regret to inform you that Democrats are trying to quote the Bible again
It happens every once in a while: The political party built on self-actualization and "liberation" from God sometimes likes to dust off the Good Book to try to dunk on Republicans.
This is where bad education and poor translation meet. The commandment "Thou shall not use My name in vain." Has nothing to do with swearing. But most lay people think that.
When reading in the original Aramaic it means " You will not use ME to promote an agenda I didn't give you."
They are literally breaking one of the 10 commandments and no one realizes.
Translations are always like that.
"Neither shall men say, Lo here, or lo there: for behold, the kingdom of God is within you." ---Luke 17:21 -- 1599 Geneva
