The only thing that raises suspicion for me is the bullet caliber used. It doesn't make sense that a 30-06 bullet didnt have an exit wound on the side of the neck.

Ya if it was a 30-06 the exit wound would be so big it would basically blow his head right off. Unless it was a fmj round and then it would have gone right on through and keep on going

Has me believing it was either a subsonic round or it was a different rifle.
With the downward trajectory it may have hit the anterior surface of the scapula.
Quite possible, I'll have to make time to review the footage frame by frame
