There is a reason why when you type in Google "They Live was", it auto-completes to "They Live was a documentary."
So many say it over and over.

I believe They Live depicted their true form as sort of skeleton-like merely as an analog of what they really are.
Why do [they] NEED blood/human sacrifice?

Also the idea of Ga'oul in Stargate SG-1. They are like tiny parasitic reptiles that can enter a human body and take control of the body. Same concept. Luckily the veil is going to be lifted soon enough.
