Had similar experience at Hobby Lobby. But they had a cup on the counter with some change, remember "need a penny, take a penny"? But cashier said they round up the charge (not the change) and I said that's stealing they should round down the charge.
I remember years ago K-Mart had kitchen utensils for sale 3 for a dollar but cashier was charging 34 cents each. I stopped her and without even a blink she called her supervisor who came with a change purse and handed me 2 pennies for each group of 3. No questions asked.
They know when they are cheating customers. Penny wise, pound foolish.
